Most chiropractors don’t struggle because they lack information. They struggle because no one shows them how experienced clinicians actually think when cases aren’t clear-cut. Inside the Practice was created to open that door. Here, the BrainDC team shares real-world clinical reasoning shaped by decades in practice, teaching, and life — not scripts, not slides, not theory.

Dr. Michael W. Hall, DC, FIACN

Dr. Hall brings nearly four decades of clinical experience, refined judgment, and a deep commitment to advancing chiropractic care. Known for his ability to simplify complex cases and focus on what truly matters, he has spent his career helping both patients and doctors think more clearly and act more precisely. After earning his Doctorate in Chiropractic, Dr. Hall pursued advanced training in functional neurology, integrating it into a practical, results-driven approach to care. His work has centered on athletes, families, and individuals with complex neurological and musculoskeletal conditions—always with an emphasis on real-world outcomes. As the founder of BrainDC, Dr. Hall leads the Functional Neurology Series and Inside the Practice, where he shares the clinical thinking and perspective developed over decades in practice. He continues to care for patients at Northwest Sport and Spine in Roanoke, TX alongside his fiancée, Amanda, while mentoring chiropractors around the world.

Dr. Michael Longyear, DC, CCSP, DACNB

Dr. Longyear brings a powerful blend of personal experience, clinical expertise, and relentless curiosity to BrainDC. After a traumatic high school football injury left him temporarily paralyzed, he defied the odds—walking out of the hospital just one month later. That experience shaped his lifelong commitment to helping patients move beyond limitations and never accept a “new normal.” He went on to earn his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker University, graduating as valedictorian, and continued his studies in Applied Clinical Neuroscience. His background spans chiropractic, neurology, psychology, and functional medicine—allowing him to approach complex cases with a broader, more integrated perspective. Dr. Longyear previously served as Director of the NeuroLife Institute at Life University, where he specialized in challenging neurological cases and contributed to research in concussion and depression. He now co-teaches with BrainDC and leads Brain Optimization Institute in Jacksonville, FL alongside his wife, Dr. Meaghan, continuing his work with patients and doctors seeking a higher level of clinical thinking.

Dr. Jonathan Vestal, DC

Dr. Vestal brings a strong blend of discipline, clinical expertise, and energy to BrainDC. A former Division I wrestler at Oklahoma State University, he went on to earn his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker University, along with dual bachelor’s degrees in Anatomy and Health & Wellness. He spent three years as a functional neurologist at NeuroLife Institute, specializing in neurological rehabilitation. His certifications include Interactive Metronome and Active Therapeutic Motion (ATM), supporting patients with concussions, neurological conditions, and performance-related needs. Dr. Vestal leads Family Wellness Chiropractic in Yukon, OK, and enjoys time with his wife, Dr. Teresa, and their six children.
